Scientific conferences are key platforms for collaboration, exchange of ideas, and the development of new research partnerships. This year, PROVIDE coordinator Prof. Dr. Sonja Pyott represented the network at the Association for Research in Otolaryngology (ARO) 2026 Midwinter Meeting in Puerto Rico.
The ARO Midwinter Meeting brings together an international community of researchers in auditory and vestibular science to share the latest developments in basic and clinical research. Prof. Dr. Pyott highlighted PROVIDE’s innovative approach to train the next generation of researchers through cutting-edge and interdisciplinary research across model systems and clinical perspectives.

Innovative Training Initiatives
During the Inner Ear Courses session at the ARO 2026 Midwinter Meeting, PROVIDE coordinator Prof. Dr. Sonja Pyott presented on innovative (clinical) training initiatives developed within the PROVIDE Doctoral Network and in collaboration with the Bárány Society Vestibular Medicine Program, led by Prof. Dr. Raymond van de Berg and supported by PROVIDE.
